Rules for water sports enthusiasts on Lake Reschen:
- Kiting is only permitted after payment of the club fee and presentation of proof. Proof is a license from an official association that certifies the ability to go upwind. Exempt from this rule are students at the club’s authorized schools.
- The ribbon as proof of paid daily or seasonal membership must be worn clearly visible on the harness and may not be transferred.
- Kites may only be set up, launched and landed on the club premises. The zones must be observed. The rest of the shore area and the other meadows around Lake Reschen are prohibited. Entering the meadows is to be strictly avoided!
- Kiting may be prohibited by club representatives if conditions are unfavorable or if the kiter lacks knowledge. You should not go out on the water in unsafe conditions.
- Watersports are at your own risk. All water sports enthusiasts must adhere to the general right of way rules (collision prevention rules).
- Unnecessary movement and steering of the kite on land is prohibited. The kite should be kept at half height for walking and the zenith should be avoided.
- Every water sports enthusiast is obliged to use the latest safety systems. Suicide -mode is prohibited. Kitesurfers: release the main pull and the possibility of complete separation. Wingfoilers: Use leash.
- Only sandbags or rucksacks may be used to weigh down the kites. Pumps, boards and other objects may not be left in the launch and landing area.
- Kites are to be launched at right angles to the wind and may only be launched at the edge of the wind window. This applies equally to tube and soft kites.
- Lines must also be wound up for short breaks and when leaving the kite.
- Kites must be launched as close to the shore as possible. Kites may only be launched towards the water and only with a competent helper.
- Kiters coming from the water may land their kite first before other launch kites.
- Foils may only be placed in the launch and landing area for a short time for launching and landing kites. They must be protected and also brought to the station for short breaks.
- The entry and exit zone must be kept clear or left immediately.
- It is essential to keep a safe distance from the station, the path, people and animals!
- Practicing or teaching on the kite meadow is prohibited and only permitted to authorized schools of the kite club.
- Kiting in the bay is prohibited.
- Kiting is only permitted within sight in order to be recognized in an emergency. Every water sports enthusiast must be under the supervision of another person who can inform the club rescue service in an emergency.
- Special consideration must be given to training and lifeboats as well as students and beginners.
These rules apply equally to wingfoilers (wingsurfers), windsurfers and other water sports enthusiasts.
Failure to observe the above rules may result in a ban from the premises!
